    ON HOLIDAY COVER REVEAL

    Hey, buddies!

I finished On Holiday and sent it off to my editor for an Alpha read today and I'm feeling so grateful for how Ben and Lucy's story came together.

This book is pure magic and so is the cover by Ink and Laurel!

You're in store for some of the biggest, swooniest moments I've ever written. Digging into the relationships and new characters in this book was so much fun. Get ready for float trips, campsite kisses, and a second chance at a deep and epic love story. Pigs, chickens, and teacups galore come together in a small town with found family friendships and family dynamics that hit high notes. Cheer along while Lucy Lark, our comeback queen, defeats her fears and self-doubts while falling in love.

I cannot wait for you all to read.

Would you like to help spread the love for On Holiday on cover reveal day? If so, share with me after 8am central time on TUESDAY MARCH 4th. If you tag me, I'll send you a short teaser scene in your DMs! Just screenshot the cover or download the image from this newsletter, get as creative as you like, and I'll be forever grateful!!

As always, thanks for being here and all your support, Love, Margaret

  • ON HOLIDAY COVER INSPIRATION✨

    ON HOLIDAY COVER INSPIRATION✨

Hi buddies! I'm sharing some cover inspiration and updates because On Holiday, Lucy and Ben's story, is getting so close to a reveal and release date. I keep saying "Summer 2025" because I'm superstitious, and I can't name a date before I have a complete draft—but the draft is just about finished and off to Alpha readers at the end of this month!

Sam from Ink and Laurel has been my cover artist from the start, and I adore the way she takes inspiration photos like Lucy's pink cottage and weaves them into the actual cover. How cute is the chimney on the spine! Always here for a "spine moment." Spilling the beans, in case you're wondering, the actual pink paint color named in the book for Lucy's cottage is Strawberry Freeze by Benjamin Moore. She paints it herself. . . Maybe with a bit of help from a "friend." Wink. Wink.

I just got a rough draft of the cover from Sam and am sharing a tiny piece just so you can get an idea of what's to come. For me, writing is very visual, and my books always start with a Pinterest board—this is where I found Lucy's cottage, and then my imagination went wild. A lot of plain-old-thinking comes next, which feels unproductive but is actually when most of the story comes to me. It always happens at night when I'm just about to doze off, and I have to jump from bed to scribble down the ideas or pieces of dialogue so I don't forget them!

    Love, Margaret

  • THE WALLPAPER SAGA CONTINUES...

    THE WALLPAPER SAGA CONTINUES...

The wallpaper saga continues. (Oh, and also, I'm deep in the drafting phase of On Holiday... but wallpaper first.)

It's so hard for me to make a decision on things around the house, especially when I'm drafting a new book. All my creative energy gets dumped into writing, and I have much less energy left for visualizing an accent wall. But you guys, I've been drooling over Pinterest and Addison's Wonderland (checkout her page here) for years, and I'm desperate to get something done in my house.

Also, I genuinely believe your space can inspire you. . . Or depress you. As an author currently working my way through writing my first interconnected/ standalone small-town romance series, I need all the inspiration I can get.

Determined to take action, I've officially moved into the prep phase for one accent wall in my house—meaning I've asked Le Husband to measure so I know how many rolls I need if I ever decide which pattern to choose. I am a words girl, obviously. I do not mess around with math!

Please enjoy a few pics below of him doing his best "man measuring" pose. And I would love your help in picking a wallpaper, do you have a favorite? Do you have any wallpaper tips? Let me know!

    What's in my cart:

Okay, now for the good stuff. On Holiday is on track to release this summer. Ben and Lucy are coming alive on the page, and I can't wait for you to meet them. No teasers this week, but in the next newsletter, I hope to have a vibe check for ya.
